You can cancel a membership yourself from Subscriptions. Cancellation stops future renewals or new per-creation charges. Amounts already owed can still be collected.
Open Subscriptions in the sidebar.
Find the creator and open the three-dot Subscription options menu.
Select Cancel Membership.
Read the confirmation, then select Cancel Subscription.
For a monthly membership, the card shows the date your access ends. A cancelled per-creation membership disappears from the active list because its membership access ends immediately.
You keep membership access until the end of the period already paid for. The confirmation shows that date. The membership does not renew after that.
Cancellation does not automatically refund the payment for the current period.
Membership access ends immediately, including access granted by membership to posts you have already been charged for.
Outstanding post charges are submitted for final billing when you cancel. The confirmation shows the current month's unbilled posts and their total. Older unpaid invoices remain payable too.
If billing cannot complete immediately, Folloverse can retry collection afterward. A later final bill does not mean the membership renewed.
Cancellation removes your membership access to gated posts and members-only channels. Public posts remain public, and a separate one-time post purchase is distinct from membership access.
See Understanding Subscription Billing Options for the difference between the two models.
For a cancelled monthly membership, checkout remains blocked while the paid access period is still active. There is no resume button on the membership card. You can subscribe again after that period ends.
For a cancelled per-creation membership, you can go back to the creator's page and join again. Check the checkout amount: the tier's joining charge can apply again.
A failed payment is different from cancelling. Open Settings → Billing history and use Pay now on a payable unpaid invoice. The page can show the payment failure reason.
You can also replace a saved card in Settings → Payment methods. Replacing a card used by an active per-creation membership attempts to collect its failed invoices with the replacement card.
Paying a final bill for a membership you cancelled does not restart it. Paying a past-due per-creation bill can restore a membership that ended specifically because payment failed, provided the creator is still active. Previously outstanding post charges may then be billed too.
Use Payment methods to remove a saved card. Removal is blocked while that card is attached to unbilled per-creation posts, including a final bill that has not finished processing after cancellation.
Removing a card is not a substitute for cancelling a membership.
Cancellation and a refund request are separate. Under the refund policy, Folloverse may refund duplicate charges, technical failures preventing access, or other clear errors. Other digital-content refunds are limited, subject to applicable law. Use Help in the app to contact support about a payment.
Cancelling a membership keeps your Folloverse account. Account deletion is a separate action in Settings → General. Read that confirmation carefully because it affects the whole account.
