We offer two different billing models so creators can choose what fits their content style, and fans always know when and how much they’ll be charged.
Let’s walk through both
Classic Subscription (Monthly Billing)This is the most traditional subscription model.
Fans subscribe to a creator for a monthly price
Billing happens on the same day every month (based on the subscription date)
A fan subscribes on January 25
They are charged immediately
The next charge happens on February 25, then March 25, and so on
Creators who post regularly
Fans who want a simple, predictable monthly payment
Per-Creation Subscription (Pay for Charged Posts)This model is more flexible and is designed for creators who post less frequently or want to charge only for specific content.
The fan pays a fixed monthly fee when subscribing
The creator can choose which posts are paid
The fan is charged per paid post, with a monthly limit they control
All charges happen on the 1st of each month
Why is the fixed monthly fee mandatory? The fixed fee:
Prevents free access to paid content
Avoids a “free window” between subscription and the first paid post
Ensures fairness, since fans immediately get access to all posts included in the membership
Billing timeline (important!)Subscription date: fan pays the fixed fee immediately
Post charges: calculated during the month
Final charge: happens on the 1st of the following month
Detailed ExampleLet’s say:
A fan subscribes on February 4
Fixed monthly fee: $5
Price per paid post: $5
Fan sets a limit of 2 paid posts per month
Creator publishes:
February 7 →
paid post
February 11 →
paid post
February 22 →
paid post, not charged (limit reached)
Even though the third post isn’t charged, the fan still has full access to it.
The fan is charged:
$5 (fixed monthly fee)
$10 (2 paid posts × $5)
Total: $15
The monthly post limit is then reset for March.
Fan protectionsFans choose their own monthly post limit
No surprise charges
