We offer two billing models so creators can choose what fits their content style, and fans always know when and how much they will be charged.
The traditional subscription model.
Fans subscribe to a creator for a fixed monthly price
Billing happens on the same day every month, based on the subscription date
A fan subscribes on January 25
They are charged immediately
The next charge happens on February 25, then March 25, and so on
Creators who post regularly
Fans who want a simple, predictable monthly payment
This model is built for creators who post less often. Fans pay for what actually gets made, not for the wait between posts.
The creator marks which posts are paid
Each paid post adds one charge to the fan’s monthly bill
The fan sets a monthly post limit at checkout, so the maximum spend is always clear
On the 1st of each month, the fan is billed once for the previous month’s paid posts
There is no recurring monthly fee. A month with no paid posts costs nothing.
Some creators ask for a one-time joining charge when you subscribe, equal to the price of one post.
It is paid once, at checkout. It is not a monthly fee.
It exists because subscribing gives you immediate access to everything already included in the membership.
Whether it applies is the creator’s choice. If it does, you see the amount at checkout before paying.
When you subscribe: you pay the one-time joining charge, if the creator uses one
During the month: each paid post is counted toward your next bill, and you get an email each time, so nothing is a surprise
On the 1st of the next month: you are charged once for all counted posts, with a summary listing exactly which posts you paid for

A fan subscribes on February 4
Price per paid post: $5
The creator uses the joining charge, so the fan pays $5 once at checkout
The fan sets a limit of 2 paid posts per month
During February the creator publishes three paid posts:
February 7: counted
February 11: counted
February 22: not charged, the limit is reached
Even though the third post is not charged, the fan still has full access to it. Posts over the limit are never billed later either. They are simply free for that fan.
On March 1 the fan is charged $10 (2 paid posts at $5). The limit then resets for March.
The limit applies per calendar month. If you join partway through a month, it covers the rest of that month and resets on the 1st.
Posts already counted are billed right away in one final invoice, instead of waiting for the 1st. After that there are no further charges.
